5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5.1 Materials and methods. - The materials, methods and procedures used
n the packaging be in accordance with this specification.

intended use and subject to the approval of the contracting officer. Unless
otherwise specified, the contractor shall provide the Government inspector
vertification of adherence to the required material specifications.
5.1.1 Materials.- The following shall apply wherever packaging materials

5.2 Size of containers.- Bags, interior containers and exterior containers
shall be a minimum size that will adequately contain the items.
5.3 Presentation and packaging.
5.3.1 Level A.
5.3.1.1 Disassembling.- A tag containing a precaution note (see 5.5.1)
shall be attached to the telescope socket, then the socket shall. be disassembled
from the mount. The socket shall be used only with the mount from which it was
disassembled, and it shall not be interchanged with a socket from another mount.
5.3.1.2 Cleaning. - Cleaning process C-1 of specification MIL-P-116 shall
be followed to clean all surfaces of the mount, instrument lights, and loose
items.
