4.3.5 Alinement. - The mount shall be ohecked for alinement in compliance
with the requirements of 3.5.3.
4.3.5.1 Horizontal. - Horizontal alinement of the plane containing the top
surface of the telescope socket shall not exceed the tolerance set forth in
3.5.3.1.
4.3.6 Plumb travel. - The mount shald be checked for plumb travel in com-
pliance with 3.5.4 shall not exceed the tolerance as set forth t4erein
through the limits of the elevation movement.
4.3.7 Extension.- Parallelism between the mount and line of sight shall
be checked with the extension correctly located and the telescope properly
mounted in compliance with 3.5.3 and shall not exceed the tolerance as set
forth in 3.6.
4.3.8 Azimuth correction. - The mount shall be mounted on a device, special
testing, in compliance with 3.5 and 3.5.3 and shall compensate for azimuth
errors induced by elevation and cross level adjustments. The accuracy tests
shall be in accordance with the table contained in 3.7 and shall not exceed the
tolerances specified therein.
4.3.9 Operating temperatures.- The mounts shall be checked for operational
defects in compliance with 3.8 and 3.9 and as specified in table 6.3.1 of Speci-
fication MIL-F-13926.
4.3.10 Torque. - The elevation and cross leveling knobs of the mount shall
be checked for torque in compliance with 3.8 and 3.9.
4.3.11 Workmanship. - Shall be checked for compliance with the requirements
of workmanship as set forth in Specification MIL-F-13926.
4.3.12 Rough handling test. - The pilot pack only shall be subjected to the
rough handling test in accor=e with the requirements of Specification MIL-P-
116. Applicable only to Level A.
4.3.13 Packaging tests. - Each package in the applicable sample shall. be
subjected to the pertinent packaging tests of Specification MIL-P-116.
4.3.14 Determination of cleanliness test. - Periodically, the applicable
surfaces of one or more unit shall be subjected to the "Determination of Clean-
liness" test in accordance with Specification MIL-P-116.
4.4 Inspection of components and subassemblies. - Components and subassemblies
shall be inspected in accordance with Table IV. The acceptance and rejection
numbers are expressed in terms of defective units. One or more defects on any
unit shall constitute a defective unit. The sampling plans listed in Table IV
me not intended to preclude 100% inspection by the contractor if the contractor
so desires.
