4.2.3 Inspection Equipment.- The test methods and procedures outlined
in 4.3 shall be used as standards for determining the adequacy of the con-
tractor's inspection equipment and methods utilized for inspecting the
characteristics in Table I. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the
contractor shall provide and maintain gages and other measuring and testing
devices considered necessary for inspection of supplies for conformance to
contracted requirements. The Government reserves the right to certify all
such equipment and to use this equipment for Government verification inspec-
tion.
4.3 Test methods and procedures.
4.3.1 Orientation.- To determine compliance with the requirements herein,
the telescope mount shall be positioned on a suitable device, special testing,
in compliance with the requirements of 3.5.
4.3.2 Vibration.- The mount shall be positioned on a vibrating device in
accordance with 3.4 and vibrated at the frequency, amplitude, and time period
designated in 3.4.
4.3.3 Elevation level vial. - The elevation level vial bubble shall be
located in compliance with 3.5.2 when mounted as specified in 3.5.
4.3.4 Cross level vial.- The cross level vial bubble shall be located in
compliance with 3.5.2 when mounted as specified in 3.5.
